Credentials

Verifiable, current, and the basis for everything we charge for.

The credentials below are the regulatory and professional anchors that distinguish a contractor licensed to do this work from one operating outside the rules. Each section names the issuing body and gives you a way to confirm the record independently.

Florida State License

Florida State Certified Irrigation Contractor

Florida State Certified Irrigation Contractor

The highest level of irrigation contractor licensing the State of Florida issues. Held by a small minority of active contractors statewide, the certification authorizes work on any irrigation project anywhere in Florida — without the geographic and scope restrictions that apply to county-level Registered licenses.

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation administers the certification through the Construction Industry Licensing Board. Renewal is biennial and requires documented continuing education in current best practice, code changes, and water management regulation.

In Florida, irrigation work that involves a connection to a potable water supply is restricted to certified or registered contractors. An unlicensed handyman who performs that work is operating outside statute, regardless of how competent the workmanship is.

FIS Membership

Florida Irrigation Society Member

Florida Irrigation Society — Active Member

The Florida Irrigation Society is the state's premier professional organization for irrigation contractors, designers, and water management professionals. Active membership means continuing engagement with current industry practice — not a one-time application paid years ago and forgotten.

FIS curates vendor-neutral training on smart-controller programming, sensor integration, water-restriction compliance, and emerging best practice for Florida-specific conditions. Membership puts a contractor in front of the conversations that shape the next generation of irrigation standards rather than reacting to them after the fact.

The Society also publishes guidance on the differences between the St. Johns River and Southwest Florida Water Management District rules — material a contractor practicing in Central Florida (where both districts apply) needs to know cold.

VOSB Designation

Veteran-Owned Small Business

Veteran-Owned Small Business

Streamline qualifies as a Veteran-Owned Small Business under U.S. Small Business Administration criteria — at least 51% owned and controlled by a veteran. The principal carries a 100% Permanent and Total disability rating from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The designation has practical value in two contexts. For federal procurement, VOSB status creates eligibility for set-aside contracts under FAR Part 19 and allows agencies to direct a portion of their spend toward veteran-owned firms. For state and local procurement, several Florida agencies and county-level purchasing offices maintain parallel preference programs for veteran-owned contractors.

A capability statement detailing past performance, NAICS coverage, and contracting vehicles is available on request.

Scope of authority

Workmanship Warranty

Workmanship Warranty

Workmanship Warranty

Every installation we perform — irrigation, landscape, and lighting — is backed by a written workmanship warranty specific to the scope of work. Repair and maintenance work carries warranty terms appropriate to the intervention.

A workmanship warranty is not the same as a manufacturer’s product warranty. Manufacturer warranties pass through to the property owner and cover defects in the equipment itself. The workmanship warranty covers our installation of that equipment — connections, alignment, programming, and the integration of components into a system that functions as designed.

Specific terms vary by service line and project scope, but in every case the terms are documented in the project agreement before work begins. We do not offer verbal warranties.

Scope of authority

  • Irrigation installations

Workmanship coverage on installed components. Manufacturer warranties pass through on controllers, valves, heads, and pumps.

  • Landscape installations

Plant establishment terms and workmanship coverage on hardscape, drainage, and bed installations.

  • Lighting installations

Workmanship coverage on cable, transformer, and fixture installation. Brass-fixture manufacturer warranties commonly run 10–15 years; LED-lamp warranties commonly run 5–7 years.

  • Repair and maintenance

Scope-specific warranties on individual repairs documented at time of service.
